Not surprising. I get it. Pearl is in the money making business, so those things that don't make money don't stick around.

I don't like it, but I do get it.

Took me forever to collect all the satin hardware I have… I’ ll never get rid of it.

I’m still always in search of Reference series spurs and claw hooks in satin, as well as floor Tom brackets and legs from any series in satin, and an SR-017 strainer and butt in satin to complete my kit. But the DW brackets and light-weight aluminum legs they have in satin fit the kit just fine for now.

Seems like Tama and Meinl have already released their 2022 offerings online. Tama is doing a special edition birch/walnut kit in all-gold, but for some reason they decided to use a satin gold for the hardware instead of polished. I assume it's to preserve the finish for a longer time since gold-plated hardware tends to be very finnicky and hard to properly maintain, but I can't help but think that it looks cheap. Not a fan of it on the entire kit, but the snare does look pretty sharp for whatever reason.

I really hope it's just lighting and editing, but that looks horrible.

Looking at a few better shots, the hardware looks better but still not brilliant. Gold HW should be shiny if you ask me, it looks like its just been painted gold! https://www.thomann.de/gb/tama_starc...h_5pcs_gtm.htm

    God damn, I love this.
I really wish Pearl would just bring it back. I'm honestly surprised they don't bring it back as a LE and sell a ton of sets to all of us who have been asking for the last 10 years

Weird. Those are pretty much my tom dimensions but those look 80’s power tom-y. Guess it’s the horrible pic.

The problem is that most of those that have been asking wouldn't buy.
