Took me forever to collect all the satin hardware I have… I’ ll never get rid of it.



I’m still always in search of Reference series spurs and claw hooks in satin, as well as floor Tom brackets and legs from any series in satin, and an SR-017 strainer and butt in satin to complete my kit. But the DW brackets and light-weight aluminum legs they have in satin fit the kit just fine for now.

Seems like Tama and Meinl have already released their 2022 offerings online. Tama is doing a special edition birch/walnut kit in all-gold, but for some reason they decided to use a satin gold for the hardware instead of polished. I assume it's to preserve the finish for a longer time since gold-plated hardware tends to be very finnicky and hard to properly maintain, but I can't help but think that it looks cheap. Not a fan of it on the entire kit, but the snare does look pretty sharp for whatever reason.

I really wish Pearl would just bring it back. I'm honestly surprised they don't bring it back as a LE and sell a ton of sets to all of us who have been asking for the last 10 years ��

Tama's website says 10x8, 12x9, 14x12 and 16x14.

My new 12" tom is 12x9 and it plays nice.

Weird. Those are pretty much my tom dimensions but those look 80’s power tom-y. Guess it’s the horrible pic.
