I had two of them. Both had horrid detuning issues, to the point that tension rods were falling out on both the batter and reso side heads consistently. The hardware is exceptionally cheap, and Pearl just cut corners in all the wrong spots on these kits IMO. I tried all tuning ranges, different heads, even had the first kit replaced under warranty from Pearl directly. The issues persisted. Many people suggested lug locks for the tuning issue, but I don't think that one should have to spend more money on a $900+ kit to make it hold tune. It was the only brand new from the box kit I've ever owned, and I was so disappointed in it. The only compliment that I can truly give it is that the finish was nice for the price.

I think Pearl would be better served removing the series and putting more focus on the Exports and Sessions. They're trying to fit this all Maple shelled kit into a price point that is already over-saturated with comparable kits.

If my current pedals are anything to go by those things would be brown after playing them for 6 months.

Apparently there is something SO unbelievably difficult about manufacturing that particular finish that it’s never been seen again. Nickel, gold, black, hell, even white- all doable. But satin? That’s next-level ******.

And I'd almost give it to them if there weren't still companies offering it. DW doesn't seem to have a problem making it work.
