Because I'm hardcore and play hardcore blast beats til i die #420
Or because it was on a slippery surface or something? I dunno. I've seen some drummers put weights in front of the slave to stop it moving around.

I'd be right at home behind that kit. Awesome set up, bruh!
Thanks a lot. I'm still in awe that it's mine.
Another cool shot of the cockpit.![]()
Wait, are the RT’s up top that weren't there in the first post?
Still Way Too Much Crap
A view from the front
They're DW piccolo toms that I used to have on my kit when it was configured differently and I didn't like the way I had to maneuver cymbals around so everything would fit. After essentially downsizing for a period I got to thinking about how I could re-incorporate the toms back into the kit without sacrificing not only my cymbal placement but also continuing to allow people to see me behind the kit and not seeing just a wall of cymbals and toms. It is very comfortable to play now.
What can I say? I'm NEVER satisfied.*♂️
Pretty cool rig Dirk. I can almost see matching gong bass drums on both ends. Maybe someone here can help fill in all those holes in your cymbals. I used to drill holes in cymbals to stop cracks from running but they were of smaller diameter than yours. Kidding of course!!! Your kit is nice and tight!
