Default Any experience with Odery or Teak shells from another manufacturer

I've been a fan of Odery's design aesthetic for as long as I've known of their existence but I've never had any real word experience with them. I've been in contact with Mauricio and hope to have a chat via phone, to really nail down what their drums are all about and what sets them apart from other builders. Their woods are different (Teak and Auracaria) and meant to offer a sustainable timber source. So, if anyone here, has played them, let's hear about it. Gorgeous drums

The copper/bronze hardware on that finish looks incredible. If only Pearl offered a similar hardware option.

Agreed. That was the inspiration for the finish I went with on my pending Masterworks. The results will differ enough that I may consider this as well. I'd really like to see the old bronze hw on the blue kit with wood hoops. And yes I'm considering another kit and this will likely be the last. For me, that's saying something. Time will tell if I stick to that plan.

I have no experience with them but back in the day, Modern drummer reviewed them and said they sounded fantastic. And this was before the era where MD just said everything sounded "Warm, full with defined attack and the kick sounds like a cannon"

I've never put hands on an Odery kit, but I also don't think I've ever heard/read a bad thing about them. Those wood hoops look amazing.

No experience with Odery but I did build a teak segmented snare 25 years ago...

Don't remember specifics but it sounded like a drum...
