They still have them I believe but from what I understand, they typically install the heads that sound the best for the specific wood selection. The bass drum batter is a clear/coated head. I will eventually change all of the stock heads out for something else. Just trying to decide if I want to go with clear emperors over ambassadors or vintage emperors. Decisions, decisions...

I've got one more splash and crash cymbal to add to the mix as well as a secondary snare to the left of my hi hats. Stunning! Everything looks clean and classy.

You always have such an eye for aesthetics when you set your kits up. That looks flawless. Love it. I can't help but wonder what it would look like with a coated white reso on the kick. hmmm.

I think this kit would do well with a rack setup, particularly if you only use side racks and leave out the front bar.

Man, I miss that thread where we used to judge other member's kits cleanliness. It was difficult to define, but you knew right away if a kit was clean or not.

well, I'd say start a new one but I think we've already found the winner

I like to think mine is pretty clean but not as good as JC.

I appreciate it. I certainly put a lot of thought into arranging my setups. I like them to be visually appealing and comfortable to play at the same time. I thought about a white reso but am really digging the black right now.

Side racks are the only way to go imo.

DOTM was always a fun thread. I hate that it seemed to fizzle out over the years. I always enjoyed checking out all of the awesome kits in one thread.

Idk, your setup is pretty clean. Tough to compete with.
