Default 6" Reference toms on Ebay -- Legit?

Does anybody know the story behind the 6" reference toms on eBay?

I didn't think you could get a 6" tom in anything but Masterworks.

They are legit. I own one.

Actually, two, but the first one I bought was from a PDF member that custom ordered it before they were available from Percussion King.

I LOVE the look of 6” toms (they’re so cute!! Lol) but I cant imagine they have much, if any resonance. I have 2 Rocket Toms but they have length to counteract the 6” diameter so they project.

The 6" tom is quite resonant and has a wide tuning range.

Given its size, I didn't think it would project or be resonant, but I was pleasantly surprised by it.

Thanks for the info. I am very tempted to pick one up.

It's the only thing keeping me from being the next Todd Sucherman.

Unfortunately I won't be able to talk you out of buying one. I have a track record of giving into temptation. . .

    Yes, they are legit.

The seller is an authorized Pearl dealer who special orders a large quantity of unique Pearl snares and toms and resells them.

Jesus- I’d be content with an 8” BSF tom.

Thanks all for the info. Feeling much more confident now about not getting ripped off.
