Nice set. I love the green sparkle finish.

What is the finish called on the snare? It looks like some type of blue oyster.

Great looking little kit. It looks like it would be fun to play. The Paiste Dimensions were such nice cymbals. Signature lathing on 2002 bronze. I’m not a DW expert, but I don’t recognize the snare strainer. I’m just used to seeing the Mag strainer.

The snare is blue oyster sparkle. And the strainer is nickelworks. They where pretty common in 2006 when it was made.

The Nickelworks functions fine, but the clear plastic tends to crack. If/when it does, you can easily replace that with various options, including an iNDE or Dunnett, with no new holes. What butt plate is on this snare?

Just the modern standard DW butt before the 3 way.

That probably won't need replacing, but if it ever does, the iNDE universal butt plate would probably do the trick.

I'm glad to report that I've rounded out my cymbal set up with some Sig Sound Edge hats!
