John Good will be announcing that his travels across the globe in search of the best tone wood has led to the discovery of Shackleton’s Endurance, buried under the Weddell Sea, off the coast of Antarctica for over 100 years. The preserved wood is said to sound like angels, and 100 limited snares, named the “Shackleton,” will be produced.

The only best tone wood he will find is what he, his group of testers and many people that would agree while there will still be others who disagree with that type of wood.

Boxes? Do you store the drums in the original boxes?

For the drums where I have the original boxes, yes. I do have all the original boxes for my drum set, but I don't have all the original boxes for my snare drums.

I agree. I had an MCT sparkle kit a few years ago and the first thing I did was order a set of fully finished hoops to match through MW.

It was worth it. The kick drum looked much better.

Really though, where are you from? How long have you been playing drums? How did you hear about the Pearl Drummers Forum? What age did you start playing? How did you come up with your user name? I know you're new-ish around here but I know nothing about you.

I'm Josh. Been playing since I was 17. I'm going to be 40 in March. I started lurking around the Pearl Drummers Forum around 2005 and finally signed up in 2006. I really started collecting about 10 years ago when I decided to refurbish an old kit. I just had my first child, a baby girl, on November 21st. Here's a ridiculous picture...
