That’s exactly who I was thinking of. Al’s single-handledly going to bring back the power toms to Pearl.

The finish is nice. What’s the veneer underneath?

    Dale, it’s “Black Limba” veneer.

But we can do Artisan 2 simulated veneers and digital reproduction on request.
So are the Masterworks Artisan veneers completely different than the Artisan II printed veneers. I got scared off ordering a MW Burl Mahogny snare thinking it was a printed veneer. Are all MW Artisan veneers genuine wood?

The internet is full of bs opinions when it comes to this question. Thanks!

This is a truely beautiful kit. The first image looked great, but the black hardware is soooo much nicer. And die cast hoops too!

Yes they are different. We have real veneers Cameroon Black Limba, Flame maple, Zebrawood, Tamo Ash, Bubinga, Eucalyptus (and like other manufactures) can produce any realistic looking veneer types as well as graphics, carbonply and pretty much anything imaginable.

Thank you for clearing it up. I’m going to order a mahogany snare sooner than later
