Dale, are you denying the role of the mind in drumming?

Going from a converted acoustic, to an acoustic kit, is a seamless experience in terms of feel. Some of you that have pad kits, or the much smaller diameter mesh head kits, might be able to corroborate how playing an ekit with rubber pads, or 8" mesh heads, make for a good bit of adjusting when you get back to the real thing. Specifically, in terms of rebound and feel. The newer mesh heads have really come a long way too. While not comparable totally to mylar under tension, they're getting really close. My converted acoustic cymbals, are even more helpful in eliminating the drastically different playing experience that's usually noticed when playing rubber pads, instead of real metal cymbals. Nothing beats the real deal but a full sized ekit really does provide a much more natural feeling in my experience.
