Not to mention showing off the more unique features (Concert toms, wooden timbales, gong drums etc)
I second that! That would be awesome! Hope this will happen!

He was never a Pearl artist. Don't go there...just don't!

Not sure if I see your point! Regardless if he used Pearl products, NP will always remain as a very influential drummer to many and IMOP, a build by Pearl to honor his attributes would be awesome!

Also in his "Quest for New Drums" modern drummer article from 87, just when he switched to ludwig, he had this to say about Pearl's then new free floating snares: "I also checked out a few snare drums, and was particularly impressed by the new Pearl model with the interchangeable shells. Nice idea! But I'm afraid nothing has taken the place of the old Slingerland yet; it's still number one."

Pearl, Natal, Ludwig, Tama, Slingerland, Premier, Arbiter Drums
    Zildjian, Sabian, Zyn Cymbals
PEARL, PREMIER, LUDWIG, TAMA, YAMAHA, NATAL and DW Snares

Roland, Dauz, FAT KAT and Koby Electronics, and loads of Percussion

5 Kits and 11 Snares, and I still don't have enough!

Ironically, I owned a 8 lug mahogony slingerland snare with maple reinforcement rings! It sounded incredible! I can see how Neil came so attached to his snare. Unfortunately, when I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1983, my mom sold my beloved snare and POS drum set for 50 bucks at a yard sale! I'm still crying!

I think I spent to much time on the DD’s. I still prefer them.
