    Default ...is mapex dead?

    What happened to them?

Their website barely works and hasn't been updated since last year? They're not advertising those ugly new Saturns on instagram? Wtf is going on?

Please don't put a jihad on me sticks4drums, just asking a question.

Website works for me. Lots of people talking about Mapex on facebook groups. Covid crises has slowed everything down at the moment.

Oh you are going to fit in around here perfectly. I know the Armory kits are really popular with Mapex fans. They are the new bang for your buck kit from Mapex. They keep coming up with great lower priced kits that take away from their higher up kits.

I also heard their entry level kits, The Tampax didn’t help. Plug had to be pulled.

I'm just bustin' balls because everyone knows that Ludwigs are the best. (uh oh, that'll probably get me banned from a Pearl site, huh?)
The local drum shop used to be a Mapex dealer (among other brands) and talked highly of their products. I've never owned them so I can't really say one way or another, but I do just love to jump on the "brand whore" thing. BMW's are the best cars, and Chevy makes the best trucks. Oh, and Kraft Mac n Cheese over Velveeta.

They're Octobans...... I just can't get myself to say "Rocket Toms".
Every time I see Rocket Toms I think of Ricky Rocket or worse yet, I start singing the Tenacious D "Rocket Sauce" song and substitute Toms for Sauce.
"Rocket, Rocket, all of my Rocket Toms, All of my f..ing Rocket Toms, all of my Rocket Toms, hey!...."

    LMAO!

All the reviews from England said they were bloody good! Didn't the drummer for Toxic Shock play that model or was it their pro line, Kotex?
