    Default Piezo repair question

Does anyone know what the white, glue-like substance is that is used on the TruTrac bass drum piezo trigger? I have soldered the wire back onto the piezo but would also like to prevent the wire from breaking where it meets the soldering point (which tends to happen after a few thousand kicks).

    Hi,

I recommend that you don't use any substance to hold it down.

I just get a solid solder connection and cover it with duct tape.

It was originally done that way and then changed to to glue like substance.

The glue would sometimes eat away at the wire and then it would break off.
