    I know they're bad pics but any info on these kits would be very much appreciated. Wood type. Year. Experience with either kit.

    Thank you.

    12-13-16-18-22 are more your sizes, and the Masters is higher up the chain than the Session. What are they priced at?

    I'm going to tell my wife Al said " buy the Masters !"

    It's a lot more drum for $250. I actually plan on trading my Session Elite kit, PDP kit and about 4 snares so hopefully it will cost me $0.

    I only gave $100 for the session elite kit so no matter what I will come out ahead.

    is the masters a Masters custom MMX or Masters custom extra MRX?

    MMX = 4 PLY 5mm Maple shells with 4 ply 5mm maple re-rings .. MRX = 6 ply 7.5mm maple shells

    Session custom = 6 ply 7.5 mm maple shells .. same as MRX just plies used in shell aren't Masters grade .. if i remember correctly the exterior ply on session custom is equal to interior ply on masters and interior ply on session is equal to core plies of masters .. cosmetic only

    I asked. The lady said the badge just says Masters Custom. I haven't seen them in person yet.

    I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Masters Custom denotes it being MMX, whereas Masters Extra would denote MRX. Al can probably confirm or correct.

    correct .. if it just says Masters Custom, then it's an MMX = 4 ply shells + 4 ply re-rings

    I use to own an MMX in Emerald-Mist .. best sounding shells Pearl had at the time in my opinion along with the MBX Birch version

    Correct

    Masters Custom = MMX (4-ply maple 5mm shell with maple reinforcement rings)
    Masters Extra = MRX MSX (6-ply maple 7.5mm shell thickness no rings)
