    Default Pearl World Series Kit

I'm a bass player with a home rehearsal and recording studio. I picked up this World Series kit to replace an old "stencil" Japanese kit (great little bass drum on that one)

The kids like this one more, and these power tom sets seem to be a really good bargain these days for newbies like me to pick up and play around with. I have lots of questions about setup and tuning that I'll ask elsewhere.

Looks like Pete Ragusa's (The Nighthawks) old kit. You aren't near DC are you?

Thanks, all. I'm in Connecticut -- I don't think it's that same kit!

I'd posted in another forum a question about whether I should keep it or the Tama kit I picked up around the same time. Consensus was that the Pearl was better than the Swingstar. I just need to learn how to tune the toms the way the Swingstar's seem to be tuned, or trade out the heads.
