    Uh-mazing! Indeed.
I couldn't believe it Saturday night when somebody called Congo Square which features a lot of tom toms. This kit sounds so good! These shells have a lower fundamental note than the Prestige Sessions I've been playing the last 5 years. I used that kit last weekend in Muscle Shoals and it sounded great, both venues. But, these Session Selects are a whole other dimension.

Some of the guys who are friends who's opinions I value most were vehement, don't do it!
I wouldn't have if Saturday night I'd have heard some huge difference like "Wow, listen to what I've been missing"! But, that didn't happen so I went ahead with the premeditated mutilation. I ordered the BB-3 with the drums.

Congrats, Ron on a beautiful kit. I have virgin and trample kick drums. Virgins are clean but the drilled kick is so much more versatile. Your drums truly are lovely!

    Thank you!
I can't say enough about the finish.

    Thanks and thanks!
I'm looking forward to when I can take pictures of the full 6 piece set up with a real camera an not cell phone dreck. Hopefully that'll be soon.
Actually, I'm ordering the 8" tom, probably later today, along with the 6.5" snare.

That finish would pop with some outdoor pictures.

Yeah the pics don't do the finish justice. It is one of the nicest lacquer with the wood-grain showing. It is our sleeper series!

    Congratulations on the kit Ron!

Last night I took a gig in Smyrna for Saturday night. Yesterday I ordered the 8"x7" tom and 6.5" matching snare as well. I plan to get there early, set up 6 or 7 pieces, and put my camera to work.

Thanks for all the well wishes!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas Day. My Christmas came early and it's not over. Are there not 12 days?
