Default Pearl MCX - Differences in wrap color?

    Hi all,

I will post pictures later but for now I wanted to post this to the community.

Has anyone had their wrap color change shades over time? I have a Diamond Glitter wrap from the MCX series and some pieces appear to have dimmed into the pewter look. My kit now looks like the wrap is different from one drum to the other. It's different enough to bother me. Has anyone experienced this?

After last night's practice it looks like the 16" floor tom is the only one that's kept it's shimmer.

They do like they're from two different kits. That sucks but I don't think there is anything that can be done with it. Did you buy them new? Then maybe but I'm not sure Pearl warranty covers faded wrap. My first kit was an Export with white wrap. The kick yellowed after a year.

It's WIERD they all discolored the same shade. The kick and hoops and snare? Tom too. I feel bad for you and tour kit.

Yeah, just disappointing really. I bought all drums new from Forks down in Nashville. I’ll try to find a Pearl warranty line or email and see what they say.

What brand of ride stand is that? Looks like it’s from Home Depot’s drum dept.

Ah hahaha, wouldn't that be something. That is a Gibraltar AX series boom stand. Had it for nearly 2 decades. Super lightweight but sturdy.

Thanks, Eric. I'll send over a PM. And yeah, I'll never get rid of this kit. Sounds just as amazing since day one.
