Calling on the Masters Army for a bit of help...
Stumbled into a deal that just seemed too good to pass up. Picked up a 1997 Masters Custom Limited Edition + cases for a ridiculously cheap price. Kit is in wonderful condition, only slight pitting on a couple pieces of chrome. Toms did not come with mounts, but I'll take care of that shortly. All badges match s/n with interior stickers. These are the "Made in Japan" 4-ply maple shells with re-rings.
My question is, what finish is this? The seller referred to it as "Mayan Gold" but I cannot find any mention of such a finish in any Pearl catalogue or via web search. The images posted below capture the finish reasonably well, but it might be slightly more gold than the images show.
As always, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations CW on your rare find! I think the finish is called Champagne Sparkle.

The MMX setup (4 ply + rings) used to be called "Masters Custom".

Unless the lacquer has "yellowed" over time (which is certainly possible), this kit looks more "gold-ish" than "silver-ish". But, I appreciate the information and will continue to research. Based on the dates, badges and model, Silver Glass is a viable possibility.

That was a 1997 limited edition Masters Series MMX 1 of 100 kits. The original finish was 160 silver sparkle.

But you need to take care of the tom lug mounting screws...looks like the kit was stored in a humid environment...

Agreed. They have already been through a vinegar bath. Look better, but still a bit crusty. Might just order up replacements.
