Perhaps THE most stunning finish ever!!

Looking at all of my snare drums with exotic wood veneers, I can't say AW is THE most stunning, but it's up there with the best.

Managed to get some better photos at a gig last weekend - not the best lighting, but not too bad.
The kick sounds ridiculous, and the toms are great, but I'm not convinced by the coated G14s, I've now changed them to clear G12s which already seem better, looking forward to taking them out again at the weekend...

You have so many beauties to choose from. I can think of at least six that I really like a lot. Of course sound is important too, but I’m sure they all sound as good as they took. The Sonor is especially impressive, with mallet lugs, super cool strainer and butt, and hella hoops. Also, it’s a real wood veneer and not Alpi.

Thanks Marv! With DW, I'm pretty sure you won't get a Collector's Series drum with an ALPI veneer, but Sonor has been using more and more ALPI products. They don't advertise/broadcast it, but they will tell it to your straight if you ask the right questions.
