Default Pearl MBX 50th Anniversary Masters Studio in Satin Birch with Gold Hardware

    Hi guys!

I bought this gorgeous Pearl 50th Anniversary Kit in like new old stock condition.

    Sizes: 22x16, 10x10, 12x10, 14x12 and 16x14

Never seen this colour combination in satin birch and gold hardware.

I was looking for such a kit for a very long time (I also own an MBX kit from 1993 in black mist)

Any ideas if this set is documented somewhere?

I've never seen a set like this but it is beautiful! Gold Hardware requires more work but it has "the looks that kill."

Wow. That is something. I don't recall seeing it but I will have a look in some records when I get home.

Can anybody help? I still have no clue if it was produced for Europe and how many kits were made back in 1996...

For the USA only 50 were made and I think the colors were wine red, black mist and emerald mist. I have no idea what the European offerings were and like I said, I don't think anyone here has ever seen a 50th anniversary Pearl matte natural MBX birch kit. That has to be extremely rare. Definitely the coolest and most beautiful one I've seen! I would guess Europe offered 50 kits too, but I cannot be sure on that.

Not my style but gorgeous nonetheless. I too have a limited edition kit that I believe Pearl made 50 of worldwide, #159 Millennium Mist with Satin hardware. Congrats on your find. I hope they sound as good as they look!

I will add the matching snare in a few days!!!! Found one in Germany....maybe it is one of a kind. I‘m still not sure how rare this kit is. Comes with original 50th anniversary heads.

Can anybody forward me a contact at Pearls Department? Since Gene is not available anymore, it is really hard to clarify this topic ...

That there is a combination I wouldn't have given a second thought about on paper, but in the flesh it looks pretty good.
