While I don’t see a need for wheels, I think there might be a case for swivel seats.

Only put wheels on it if you’re gonna wear a helmet too.

I have a cheap throne and the seat turns. It isn't even attached to the pole that sticks up. I can lift it right off and throw it like a frisbee. I am new to drumming and was wondering if the better ones swivel or not. Seems like swiveling would allow turning more but maybe that isn't a good thing. Like I said, I am new to this and just figuring it out as I go.

Its a personal thing, but i'd definitely upgrade if I was you, to a Pearl Roadster, Tama 1st Chair, Natal DT1, Gibraltar or similar, depending on your preference for seat shape (round/saddle). Will be much sturdier and more reliable than a cheap throne, which will break soon enough, and could cause you physical injury, or spinal pain. Personally I go for a round top Natal DT1, with a fleece Protection racket seat cover, and have it fixed not to spin, I'd rather let my upper body turn than the throne. Also many thrones make a noise/squeak when turning which isn't what you want, especially in the studio.
Pearl, Natal, Ludwig, Tama, Slingerland, Premier Drums
    Zildjian, Sabian, Zyn Cymbals
PEARL, LUDWIG, TAMA, YAMAHA, NATAL and DW Snares

Roland, Dauz, FAT KAT and Koby Electronics, and loads of Percussion

4 Kits and 8 Snares, and I still don't have enough!
