I was thinking about that, but I’m really liking the coated reso heads at the moment. But that may change in the future.

That's what I did, adding a picture of my finish sample to the background of my custom reso head (from drumart.com). I think it looks awesome and would do it again for a different kit.

It’s basically a band with springs that attaches to the tension screws at four spots. Nothing touches the drums themselves and it really allows the drums to resonate. I personally love it as I prefer my floor toms with kegs instead of racked.

Playing around with the new snares, really loving the Reference Brass and DW. Changed the heads to the regular clear emperors, and I like the sound better than the purple versions. Didn't think it would make much difference, but the sound change is clear to my ear.

It’d get my vote, that’s for sure. I haven’t seen anything as impressive since Matt’s Masterworks with matching pedal inlays (I still want an explanation on how that was done).

I never really realized how HUGE the DW Direct drive pedals were. There isn’t any room for anything else down there. Awesome kit though. Gorgeous!
