    We have:
    - deep power toms of 12,13,16 diameter
    - small diameter deep bass drum of 20 diameter
    - cast bell bronze snare
    - single ply black dots by Remo on toms
    - whatever shells sonor signature kits were...im guessing thick shells
12-ply 12mm beech shells. And don't think of the Controlled Sound heads as being a single-ply head. The 5-mil dot changes the sound a good deal from what is otherwise an Ambassador.

    "Why is that mirror sneezing?"

Those.....are the thickest drum shells I have ever read about in my life...wow. I'm surprised they can tune that low being that thick. I read everywhere that thick shells don't tune low for crap and those are crazy thick.

I'm pretty sure they are 12-ply beech shells on the horst link signature series.

KISS uses Gibson guitars and PEARL drums because they want the Best!

Correct. There was also a 7-ply, 7mm birch shell, but I don't believe these are those.

Hey thanks for the kind words everyone!

    Full rundown :

Sonor signature lite 7ply birch it makassar Ebony veneer inside and out
    Diamterx x depth
    20x 16
    12x12
    13x13
    16x18

    14x8 cast bronze snare
    Evans emad on kick
Remo Cs dots over ambassador on toms
    Aquarian super 2 on snare

Secret to big toms is low tuning. Top AND bottom. Both just above wrinkle.

Studio fx/processing is MINIMIAL. Compression and bit of eq. That's all subtractive eq too. Im not boosting stuff to make it sound bigger.

One of the best kits Sonor ever made (IMHO) the Horst Link Signature series.

KISS uses Gibson guitars and PEARL drums because they want the Best!
