Ok, yes, that is the perfect drum sound. Holy ****. Is it the deep toms giving that huge rich tom tone?

Me too!! How does one achieve it...? 🤔

    We have:
    - deep power toms of 12,13,16 diameter
    - small diameter deep bass drum of 20 diameter
    - cast bell bronze snare
    - single ply black dots by Remo on toms
    - whatever shells sonor signature kits were...im guessing thick shells

I would guess it plays a role, but it's not hard to get that sound in those types of drums with something like a Controlled Sound, EC2 or Performance II. Those drums and those heads are pretty much made for it.

Wow! i'd love to know how you tuned those black dots. I use them top and bottom and get pretty good tone but nothing like that.
