So in MRI news... Tomorrow morning at 8:00 I get an MRI on my left shoulder. It has been hurting for about 3 months now.

Started with an X-Ray because it feels as though it's partially dislocated. Not that I have a reason for it to be. I just woke up one day and my wing didn't work right. Put up with it for a month thinking I'd slept on it wrong and it would get to feeling better. Nope.

It pops constantly and hurts like a dickens when it does. I can still play my drums as I can pivot it up and down. I just can't lift it to the side or back and to the left.

Like putting on deodorant or driving my truck hurts. But sometimes just standing there doing nothing hurts. I struggle to get dressed. Putting on a t-shirt no problem. Putting on a jacket or button up is painful. I made the mistake of putting I a hoodie a few days ago and thought I might have to cut it off.

So a few weeks ago I broke my drums down so I didn't play them. Even though it didn't hurt to play them, I thought it'd be best to not aggravate it in any form.

I looked at recovery time for shoulder surgery. A possible 6 weeks in a sling!

Wish me luck and I'll keep all you " Bros " updated.

Could be a torn rotator but I have that on my right shoulder from playing hockey years ago. This feels nothing like it.

    Good luck with that, man!
I had major shoulder surgery back in '16 for quite a bit of damage that occurred over a period of time. Fortunately for me, I got one of the best surgeons in the country to fix mine. He also fixed Drew Brees' shoulder.
As of today my shoulder is good. Recovery can last up to two years, easily. Just depends on whats wrong, your surgeon, your physical therapy and genes.
Shoulders are one of the most difficult things to fix...

    Rocker,

My first guess was torn rotator based on your description, but sounds like you've already passed on that diagnosis. Hope its nothing serious. Shoulder injuries are almost as bad as back injuries.

    Best of luck!

Not sure if this makes me feel better or worse. But thanks!

Sometimes the pain is down the inside of my bicep and sometimes makes my ring finger and naughty finger feel somewhat numb. I've torn my right shoulder. It's hurt when I'd over do it.

This one feels like it's just falling off, standing still sometimes.

My 40s have been rough on me.

I think it's odd Troy or any drummer gets more screen time than the rhythm guitarist it bass player.

    That almost never happens.

Have you ever taken a really good look at Brian Wheat? There’s a reason.
