If I have to pick a band from the hair metal era, Motley Crue would be at the top of the list.
As a child of 80’s hair metal, I’d have to say MY three favorites would have to be....

    1) Whitesnake- (That Tommy is a badass as well and still killing it at 69 years old.)
    2) Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime is one of my fav albums ever.
    3) Ozzy - (The Ultimate Sin and No Rest for the Wicked are amazing albums)

Tommy Aldridge is my fav 80’s drummer and one of my favs to this day. He’s pure Rock n Roll.

You know what's not miserable? Drumming & recording and the end product vs raw:

I should clarify, I don't consider The Scorpions or Ozzy to be "hair metal" as they both existed long before that genre was around and sort of transcend those 80s trends. Ozzy always had elements of real metal that I thought was heavier and darker than what you'd get from the straight up hair bands. If we're including them, then yeah, Motley Crue and The Scorpions and Ozzy are my Top 3 from that era. I just think Motley Crue wrote really catchy songs and Tommy's drumming is rock solid.

I just saw Tommy Aldridge last week at PASIC! He's got more energy at 69 than I had at 19!

Both Tommy’s are two of the best from the 80’s. The one thing I’ll give TL is that when all those guys were rocking the deep square sized “Power Toms” TL was even rocking the “Power Snare.” lolName: F792E638-9EA0-425D-AB56-64743EF04B43.jpg

Got a more qualified ready of my MRI. Went to St.Louis hospital ortho group. Dr told me there was no damage to the rotator, it's a whole group of ligaments that are unattached. He referred me to a surgeon in their group for tomorrow ( Friday ) and before I could drive the hour home they called my cell and told me he couldn't do it. So they referred me to a specialist at Washington University. Much better place to be but they scheduled me to Dec. 11th for conciliation then called back two hours later and changed it to Dec.18th.

Pain level 3 non stop and a solid 8 when I use it.

It's getting worse everyday. I'm having a time dressing, drying after a shower, driving. I have to pop the door then kick it open and closing it is right handed. Buckling up??? Left hand to right back to left to click the seat belt.

This is really beginning to suck!!! And now another month waiting.

But, things could always be worse!

I just kinda take the Cre for what they are. I was ape **** for them on Shout at the Devil album and the found Too Fast for Love after the fact.

Both great albums that I can listen to side to side. By the time T.o.P came around their musical direction was changing and so was mine.

It's not like Vince isn't giving it his all. His ALL just isn't that great anymore.

I can't sing like I could when I was twenty anymore either.

So come now children of the Beast,be strong, and Shout at the Devil!

Most rockers seem to stay at it even after they've jumped the shark... a pity!
