To be completely honest it's been a rough year. A month or so ago my step niece committed suicide. 19 years old, leaving behind a 1 year old daughter that will go to the P.O.S. Biological father that help to push her to suicide in the first place. She had had enough of his crap and ended their relationship. So he, his sister and his new girlfriend harassed her apparently non stop until her already fragile self broke.

I say step niece, but no blood relation because...

Her mom dated my brother and had this girl with some other dude. She ( the mom ) O.D. And died 10 years ago on heroin. The dad didn't want her so my brother and my parents helped raise her. She was a sweet heart.

    +

My daughter is getting married soon and my 18 year old son joined the Air Force. I tried to get him to wait for he could attend his sisters wedding. He is actually in the wedding. Or was until he got in a big f hurry to sign up.

And my mom is 83 and dying a slow death. She keeps asking for my dad. He died 19 years ago. She told me " Barb ( my eldest sister ) told me my mom died! I didn't know that. I said yes Mom. Grandma died along time ago. You knew you probably just forgot. She said " nope, I didn't know"

Sounds like Alzheimer's but I visited with her on Halloween and she was fine. Not completely healthy but still in her right mind. She has just dropped out in the last few days.

I have a close person in my life that is killing himself with drugs but is in complete denial that he even does drugs.

I haven't been working because of my shoulder and I'm pretty sure my wife is sick of my drum collection.

When I broke my drums down and stored them as neatly out of the way as I could, it was like a birthday present on Christmas wrapped in magical weight lose paper. That happy!

Like " this looks so awesome" and she never even uses the basement. And I'm like " how can it look more awesome when I have drums set up and gear strewn about? Confused.

Not to worry, though buddies and bros

I've been through a lot in 49 years and hasn't anything got me down yet.

    Hang Tough!

Thanks for letting me bend an ear.

    - Marty

That DOES sound rough Marty. You sound like a solid dude who has a good foundation. You’ll power through. And hell- you have us n’er-do-well’s to chat with when the going gets rough!

Other than that, Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?

Kidding aside, it's never known what someone else is going through. This is a good video on that topic - a healthcare industry bend, but I believe applicable in everyday life for sure:

Sounds like you have a lot of fun ahead of you. My neurologist wants me to do physical therapy. I’ve been saying I feel damage done to my left hand & arm, the side that shakes when I have my petite mal seizures. He cannot necessarily tell, but I it’s affecting my playing.

Do I get my Jr Doctor card for my diagnosis?

Take care man. Get the rest you need and do your therapy.

Either that, or nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

    Thanks.

Good luck on the shoulder. Not easy but the end product will be well worth it.

So the specialist won't take our insurance provider. Makes no sense to me. What's the difference? You're still getting paid, right?

So I'll have to go to a more local surgeon at a very small hospital or head to St.Louis
