Sounds like you have a lot of fun ahead of you. My neurologist wants me to do physical therapy. I’ve been saying I feel damage done to my left hand & arm, the side that shakes when I have my petite mal seizures. He cannot necessarily tell, but I it’s affecting my playing.

Hope the physical therapy works out for you , Dale. If they're giving you an option to do it, do it. I can't hurt. Much luck to you. Unlike you, my drumming is slop at best. I'm not sure I can afford to get much worse at it. Attack is all I have. I guess I could always just get the left arm lopped off and search for that guy that was looking for an amputee to play drums in his Def Leppard tribute band!

That's be a call for your insurance to see if they cover out-of-network providers. Plus, to avoid unexpected expenses, it's good to see if the facility accepts your insurance, as well as imaging, anesthesia, and any 'assistants' the surgeon will be using.

You may be made of tougher stuff than I but I tried that with my back and it started to work on my head- big time. Once I recovered, I was amazed that I put up with it for as long as I did. If there’s a way to fix it, do it.

Good tip. I had to have gallbladder removal 6 months ago and there were no unexpected expenses but I will still look in to it with this surgery.

I just refilled my pain meds... I hate using them but I would be in severe pain w/o them.

Don't do that. It won't get better. Cortisone will eventually make it worse. Go to St. Louis and get it done there while you're young enough/strong enough to get over it.

So the surgeon I was set up to meet took a look at the MRI and said there are so many ligament tears he's not touching it. So now I'm on to a specialist team. I'll see what's up next Tuesday.

That sounds pretty rough. Any idea of the cause?
