Nice to see someone stepping outside the norm. The only thing I know about Monolith is they bought Tempus for a minute when Paul shut it down.

They look well made.

I figured that I have enough wood kits, lets try something different. I did go to his house and demo his acrylic and carbon fiber shells as well. I liked the fiberglass shells the best. Although, his 24" acrylic bass drum with a KickPort was nuts!

I did get the whole Tempus/Monolith story/connection when I was at his house and my memory is showing here, or lack of... I don't remember any of it. Haha.

From the looks of the bass drum hoops, I’m going with a white lacquer. Painting the bass head hoops black is kind of classy. I think using stands really allows the drums to stand out. Nicely done.

As for my kit, it's the outside of the actual shell. The colour is the outer resin coat. I'll be using stands for the time being. Possibly racking it up later on.

Yes it is Arctic white paint, with a lacquer outer coat.
