    Comparatively lighter, far better looking, but zero effect on sound. I just switched over on my Sessions solely for aesthetics. Not that you can really see my toms because my kit looks like something out of Terminator 7, but ya know....

    I did the same thing, and had no problem selling the standard mounts on the used market.

    Have used both types & the only difference is the look & the weight. Sound is unaffected.

    You could also drill through the holes in the Pearl grommets to make the holes slightly larger.
