looked at couple vids with the new set up. i like the double pedals he play now,something with a lot of sens ergonomically speaking.might give this a go,it's just that except sleishman,i can't see other pedal makers offering this central beater set up.

otherwise,looking at him playing heads up looking at the sky constantly like someone attacked by a squadron of wasp, is awkward .

Offset still makes their middle pedal, and Sonor used to have a middle model in the Giant Step series.

I don't think a flimsy black drape can isolate anything sound-wise.

So the drape is for isolation purposes... I wonder if they do anything?

If its heavy curtain material (the sort you find in theatrical curtains), thats heavy stuff, and mass helps isolation, according to that video, to stop amp bleed into the mics under the floor/gong drums. I use some of the drape material in my old Ludwig bass drum, and a little goes a long way, i'd say its definitely heavier than a removal man's blanket (the choice of one Steve Gadd) or a towel, and just a small piece (hand towel sized) rolled up is more than enough dampening.

The curtain is just to hide all of his pedals. He also is rocking a bunch of Rolan foot triggers besides all the hi-hat pedals (and double bass pedal.)
