how to assign imported samples in Mimic Pro???

Hi folks. New to the forum here.

This is something that I couldn't seem to find in the manual, and Pearl support apparently is not interested in answering it either.

It was simple enough to figure out how to import .wav files using a USB stick into the Mimic Pro. But how do I go about actually assigning those imported .wavs to specific pads??? Can someone please lay out a quick step by step for me? Would really appreciate it.

Hi,

Go to edit kit.
You can load to kick layer.
Load Instrument
Pick instrumwent type in left bottom corner
Then choose wave and it will list the wave you have on your usb drive.

To load to existing instruments like kick or sanre or toms, you go to trigger edit
Kit instrument assign and change it to wave.

one related question though: is it possible to assign a .wav sample to either the ride or crash as a second layer that plays along with ride/crash sound? It seems you can only layer the kick and snare, which is odd.

Hi,

The Layer function is only available for the kick and snare.

You could try going to the Kit instrument assign window and change one of the assigned instruments to different instrument.

Hi,

When you import your samples, you must use the import one shot wave files from USB stick window.

The sounds should be listed on your left.

You highlight the sample you want to load and then push import.

After that is complete, go to the edit kit function and select page 2 and then select wave.

Hit load instrument and your sample should appear on the screen.
