Default Bass Patch On an E-Drum Kick Pad

So I wanted to ask if anyone has ever fitted a bass drum patch like Evans PC2 Double Bass Patch on a Yamaha KP-100 Kick Pad??

I'm thinking of getting one as its getting really dirty.

Also, does anyone know how to clean the pad, since it is very dirty? I've tried cleaning it before but it doesn't work

I use the black nylon Evans EQ Double Pedal Patch on my Roland KD-140. Roland uses a mesh head so the mesh patch pairs well with it. I don't know what type of head surface Yamaha uses.

I have the black Evans patch on my Roland KD-85.
The head is mesh. Not sure what material Yamaha
uses. I use dish soap and one of those magic erasers.
This works well on the Remo mesh heads Roland uses.
Post some pictures of your e-kick please.

It's kind of hybrid monster.....mesh/silicone pad under it iirc - I have to take mine apart this weekend for some maintenance so I'm about to find out...

I don't see why a pad would hurt tho - but I'd use as thin of one as possible...

So I was wrong....it's a straight rubber pad with the trigger point being center and the rubber getting more ridged closer to the outer edges, the covering is a cloth material that adheres to the edge and is held in place by the plastic "hoop"...so I can't see why putting a thinner patch on would do any harm but may require a more firm stroke to trigger properly.
