You can increase your beater-burying strength by sitting higher and leaning into the kit a touch. Your seat height would put your hip angle at greater than 90 degrees (which for me, used to diminish my leg power). But then i released when playing fast or technical stuff, i could lean forward into the kit, bringing that hip angle back to 90 degrees and getting my joints and muscles back into the power angles. Anyway, sitting high and leaning into it can help put more weight on the footboard, aiding in burying. Esp evident when you slide your foot forward on the board. Also leaning forward brings those toms and cymbals closer. Another plus
