Haven't limited graphics from Pearl's design been a thing for awhile now? I remember this kit being at NAMM several years ago. Perhaps the above designs are just an extension of it?

Itís two weeks and still no answer from Pearl. Itís not like the people from Pearl havenít been on this thread. I find their silence on this very disturbing. Itís Artisan II deja vu.

To be fair, there aren't a lot of moderators on the forum. No where near the amount there used to be. I think this place runs fairly well all things considered.

In addition, there's a big difference between moderating a forum and making statements regarding product development.

I too would like to know what all the hype about these new artisan finishes are about and why they were released at NAMM with little information about them and if we can customize our own finishes or is it from a pre-designed book of limited finishes. I must say though they look incredibly sick for the drum finishes

I'll admit, "Artisan II Finish" is a hulluva nicer sounding marketing device than, "wrap".

the graphic is applied directly onto the outer shell ply it is not a wrap. I don't think the graphic is limited to these two finishes that were displayed at NAMM. I'm waiting to hear back from purchasing to see what all can be ordered.

Thanks Al. I suspected that the process was similar to the one used on the MCX a few years ago. I am mainly interested creating my own graphic and was wondering if Pearl would assist with that or if we only got to choose from stock graphics. I am eagerly awaiting to hear what you find out.

It is also their own platform, and as such it's almost the first port of call for advertising and promotion of their products - you'd think in this day and age of accessible social media and interaction between companies and their customers, ignoring questions asked about a new product is maybe not the best way to achieve that...
