    Agreed. The more complex and overengineered, the more things that can go wrong under fire.

    Agree with that observation - one of the things that drew me to the previous two iterations of Yamaha foot pedals were how solid and simple they were. They just felt super reliable, and you didn't have a million settings to ****** up. They felt great, you could adjust them where it really mattered, and they held up super well.
