Why can't tama offer some normal looking finishes? Is gloss natural too difficult?

They do have three pleasant fade finishes... but no natural lacquers. Can't please everyone.

My Tama W/B... satin sapphire fade, 24x16, 12, 14, 16 (also use a 22 as a gong style drum)...

I had a Yamaha live custom (not hybrid)... stunning kit in the red fade and sounded so good.... but hardly used.

The big things that annoy me with Yamaha is their after sales service is ****house & they have limited range if finishes...which after about a year or so they stop making the line and you can’t get add ons, nor will they make you any special order... most other drum brands will make a special order for an add on... Yamaha should look at things like this.
