    Default Unloading ICON

I've decided to get rid of my ICON rack. It's the Full Monty- four curved bars, six vertical bars, six feet, 12 clamps. Gonna list it soon but I'm wondering what I should realistically ask?

Probably best to split it into a couple of racks, and sell some clamps at least, separately. Put it on Ebay, goes to highest bidder - can look to see what ICON and Gibraltar rack components are selling for via their search engine.

Listed it on Reverb. We’ll see. I’m in no huge hurry.

I paid $425 (from GC) for my three sided straight ICON with nine clamps and nine cymbal arms in decent condition, just as a point of reference.

I reckon it'll probably be easier, and likely more lucrative, to sell as as two smaller racks - I'd go with a typical "all round" rack (3 bar, 4 legs), and a front only rack (1 bar, 2 legs). But, since you're not in a rush, it can't hurt to try moving it all in one go first. Good luck!

Yeah. The ICON's square bars are great from a stability perspective but... visually, it's just too much. I like the more unobtrusive nature of the Gibraltar round tubes. I had an early version of it in the early 2000's and never had an issue with slippage. We'll see. Again, I'm in no hurry at all.

I've found the Gibraltar racks to be good, both visually and functionally. The only "issue" I've had is with the 14" tom that's attached to an arm, it puts quite a moment on the super multi clamp and I've added not one but two memory locks to stop it from rotating. Glad I converted the 16" tom to a floor tom!!

I wouldn't be mounting anything larger than a 13" off of it. To me, 14"'s and above are floor toms only.
