Default Jonah Hex's Session Studio Select 2019

So I've been around here for a while as a lot of you know. I've gone from Exports to Sessions to Mapex Saturns to Visions (for gigs) and have come home to roost with Sessions again.....

I've been teasing this for months....this thread is going to be an "evolutionary" thread....in that I'm not quite sure how this is gonna turn out....

    Some preliminary pics:

Thanks man. The finish is indeed outstanding. Going to dink with setup some tonight. The additional kick and switching my left side to more traditional acoustic drums will require so,e thought.

Hoping to have it mostly done by NAMM.

just try to not forget the most important part: sound sample. i'd like to ear how they sounds free of sound processing....and yes,it's intriguing to me,because the unanimous claim that the SSC is the best value of the whole pearl line up !! ?

Given the wood combination I’m expecting great things around the sound but yeah I’ll get some clips/vids up but probably won’t be until after NAMM.

Given the thought they put into these, the value is undeniable. Hell they even include a decent kick pillow and pre-apply Velcro in the kick shell to keep it in place:

Thanks! I’ve used an Icon for a long time. I’ll be doing some heavy modifications on this one to get it where I want it. (Think sawz-all level heavy).

More standard I’ve never been a huge fan of the “remote” kick concept. I’ll be splitting my Redlines into two singles.

Can I ask what led you to go with two different sized kicks?

I actually like the aesthetics of the 20/22 combo (I’m weird that way). I also tune to notes (my tuning process is hideously tedious) and wanted each drum to represent its tuning. That being said because I’m adding a kick and the concert toms my tuning may change some....may go back to the “ok that sounds good” method....
