We’ll see. It’s probably a decent way off but knowing it’s afoot is nice.

As long as you can get back to playing again that's the important thing!

I had a buddy that played in a local cover band years ago. Had a really nice DW with the mismatched kick sizes. They'd play modern hard rock and veer a tiny bit into metal. He would play normal 16th double bass patterns with this setup. The kit was gorgeous, but that pitch difference in the two kicks made me insane. I kind of get it, it adds note separation and what not, but I went from using two kicks a few years ago, ditched that because I had a hell of a time getting them the same pitch, went to double pedal which was better, and finally started using a trigger live for the even more consistent note. Tims kit makes up for to me though by being GORGEOUS. Those session studio selects are one hell of a deal.

I know there are guys who rock odd-sized kicks well (Carey, AVH, Jonah Hex…) but it just super bothers me aesthetically.

Thatís great news Dylan! I canít imagine not playing my drums for a extended period of time. I feel so fortunate and extremely grateful to have a drum cave in my home. Unfortunately the music scene is still struggling to recover but hopefully we will all be back on stage soon.

Thanks. Right now, this is in the very beginning stages so we’ll see what happens. Fingers crossed.

Quick overhead shot...better picks coming tomorrow after I tweak some things (pedal alignments, need to shift the left over a touch, then comfort adjustments) and shoot it with a real camera/lens....
