I'm sure it'll sound very awesome. I'm a big fan of the molten brown burst and arctic blue oyster finishes

Pearl’s lacquers and wraps are better than Tama’s.

I just hope Pearl doesn't discontinue the black matte, bombay sparkle or that matte natural finishes on the masters maple complete kits as I plan on adding onto mine.

Me too. I might think of some more little kits to make with them. Of course, they will still be available by special order for a while.

BTW, the MCT "Martini" kit is just about ready to go. I had to change one of the hardware options and am waiting for it to come from Pearl so I can finish the bass drum. I also had to order some custom bass drum heads from Remo. Fortunately, I was able to get the last of the 8x8 matte black toms they had at the warehouse.

I was planning to use SST-6115 (115mm) tension rods for the little bass drum but I discovered after I put the CL-250 lugs on the tom shell that the 115mm are a little too long. Thus, I needed to get the T-065 (90mm) rods instead.

In the end, I think this is better option anyway since all the order specs are consistent with "Masters" series so there is really no reason to upgrade to the SST- tension rods for this build.

You can still order (even if discontinued via special order) until the factory finally tells us No.

KISS uses Gibson guitars and Pearl drums because they want the Best!

    Al,

Do you know if the warehouse has any of the MCT matte black color on backorder? Or, is the remaining stock all that is available without a special order?
