I like it. I have also adopted the "inside out" drum rack concept.
    Rep to you. Nice setup!

    ***** UPDATE *****

    Experiment time!

I removed the bass drum spurs, and moved the ITS plates that the spurs were mounted on down to the bottom of the drum. I then screwed a couple eye-bolts into the spur bracket screw holes. I figure, I've got the hook on the rack to keep the bass drum from creeping, and I have nothing mounted on top, so all I need the spurs for is to lift the front, and keep the drum from rocking side to side. It's solid so far, I dropped some weight, and I swear my bass drum sounds bigger/louder. I'll likely paint the eye-bolts black, but here's what it looks like for now...

I just checked out your rack set-up. Very cool!. I like how it's all centered and (mostly) symmetrical.

I thought I'd hate those "spurs," but it actually looks pretty neat. Probably better if you paint it black. I always liked that Mapex mounting hardware. I never used it myself, but it just seems so versatile.

How much does the floor tom bounce if you don't use the leg to stabilize it? Like is the leg needed or just personal preference?

Thanks! I ordered a couple Gibraltar cymbal stand feet that I think may fit over the eye bolt "spurs". They might clean things up a bit. Or they may look like complete doodie... We shall see. I was actually thinking about going to a hobby shop and seeing if I could get some little dinosaur, or baby doll legs to go over them instead, hahaha... I may still.

I gotta say, I've been having all kinds of crazy ideas going through my head for those moveable mounting brackets. This here is my main gigging kit. I still have the rest of the shell bank to play with, two more Hex Racks on the way, and a freshly cleaned spot in the garage to finally be able to have a kit set up at home. My garage is going to be like a mad scientist's laboratory for a while.

To be honest, when I remove the leg and hold the drum (still connected to the L-rod on the opposite side) by the rim, and gently lower it, it drops far enough to make me uncomfortable. Like something is flexing far more than it should. It concerns me enough that I don't want to actually try playing it like that.
