Default Rubber washer on Reference lug/tension rod assembly

While looking at pictures of a used Reference kit, this random rubber washer on the tension rod has me confused since I'm pretty sure it doesn't belong here. However, if it does belong with the tension rod/lug assembly, where does it go?

It goes on the lug to keep the lug from falling out of the claw when changing heads.

It’s called an o ring. It goes on the tension rod not the lug. It’s purpose is to keep the tension rod and claw together.

It definitely belongs there. It's on all high end kick drum tension rods from Pearl. I use it to make finger tightening the tension rod much easier. It's allows for a better grip with the fingers. I love having them on there for that very reason even if they weren't originally put on there for that reason : ).

I also added them to a few to my other drums to keep the tension rods in the hoop when I am changing the heads.

wich size are the washers in the Reference? The ones used in the tension rods.

M5 format? I bought some and fitted too tight.
    So, M6?
