The same model kit, but with 20" bass drum being used by my grandad on a recent gig. We both loved the finish, so we have matching kits

Sweet kit! I've had an original series Ash kit for years and love it. I've sold off other kits but don't think I will ever get rid of the Natals.

Thanks Everyone, I used it on a big band pub gig today, and boy did it sound great, and its being used in the studio tomorrow for a recording/video session, which I will upload here next week once completed, and then a gig with a soul band on saturday, mic'd up.

Pics of a recording session at my college. 5 mic setup and 4 cameras, the toms sounded nice and buttery, and the snare really achieved the Copeland crack I wanted for the track (Synchronicity II cover). Video footage to come once finished.

Great pictures and I do like that finish! Side bar, I went from using medium A Zildjian 16 and 18 crashes to med thin a few years ago and absolutely love them! They are so versatile for Jazz and rock! I don't even use the medium crashes anymore!

I love the Zildjians, and I was surprised at how well the AAX crash blends with them since I've been using that the past few days, different but complimentary.

Those are nice drums and cymbals. May they give you years of musical joy. Peace and goodwill.
