Thats a 1979 Tama Imperialstar kit 20", 12", 14" with a bit of a mystery past. From what I can find out, it is some sort of shop promo done with a photo-collage of Billy Cobham and his various large Tama kits. I must say I was surprised that a few of the punters picked up on who it was, considering it wasn't exactly a jazz audience, we were little more than wallpaper music But the kit plays and records like a dream, the mahogany shells just sing. I've used it on everything from jazz to rock, and musical theatre too. When it arrived to me, it was a state, and had missing lugs, and all the reso head tension rods from both toms, no bass drum spurs, but I sourced the period parts and pieced it back together, and i'm super happy with it. Its a complete chameleon of a kit, can fit in on any gig. And its always a pleasure to play Stratus whenever I dep with a blues trio, feels pretty special.

I didn't know Mike from Breaking Bad played drums
It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.

Thanks, just a neat little thing I put together from a DW hoop clamp, Tama cymbal L rod and gibraltar mic adapter, works an absolute dream, and came to less than £50 in parts.
