Before entering the stage. But we didn't have anyone to take photos so there's no pic of me behind the kit. This was a Mapex v7 I think, which brought some memories back to my first kit. Played a double pedal but it was fun! Sounded good too, a shame there's no recording of our show.

Added a clip from the previous time we played there:

Sorry about the dumb filter. I borrowed this pic from the singer. From a recent gig in Toronto, at Ripley's Aquarium. I'm playing my Maple Custom Absolute 14x18 and 14x14 with a 6.5x14 Musashi Snare, as well as 14 HHX Groove Hats, 17 HHX Evolution Crash and a 21 Prototype Ride. Just a cover gig.

Also, a pic from a session mid-last year... Yamaha Oak Custom 17x20, 9x12, 14x16. I used a Mapex 5x14 Black Widow, a 6.5 deep '86 Black Beauty and a 5x14 Pearl Ultracast on this session. The cymbals were mostly Murat Diril. This was at Vespa studios, with Mike Turner (ex-Our Lady Peace guitarist) producing. Pretty happy with the drum sounds on this - https://open.spotify.com/album/0l1Gh...Q7Ge5iDilq90Yg

Do you have a pic of the 6.5x14 Musashi snare? I didn't know they made that size. I have a 6.5x13 that I love.

Oops! Good eye. That was a typo. It's a 6.5x13. I had the bearing edges rounded over on mine, and the snare bed evened out\deepened a bit, which made the snare a little drier and throatier. I also swapped to a Trick throw-off, and 2.3mm hoops, and use Gibraltar ABS washers on all my drums. I find those little guys make a noticeable difference in the drum holding it's tuning.

The Musashi is a great "all-rounder" drum for my pop\r&b\rock\top 40 gigs.

Must be the perspective or something as the left kick looks smaller than the right...
