It's the floating toms from the tom mount thread!!
Music can take you anywhere you want to go for a little bit of time. You can call that place anything you want to call it. You can name that place anything you want to name it.

Looks pretty cool. Go all out and spin those toms for the badges are visible. I may try this. Not the whole thing but the Opti's on the bottom of the drum. Cool!

I know what you're doing there and it looks pretty swank. Good work.

That is pretty cool but a ton of effort and expense compared to using an Atlas mount. No problems seeing the finish, either. Just a big honkin lug.

Flip them. I had totally flipped my soundcheck ' when i got them, they don't have opti mounts but the hole in the shell, switched the heads on the shell, and even flipped the bass drum cause the Tom mount holes were too far from me when the Toms were mounted

How did you lift the "front" of the bass drum after you flipped it round?

Still curious - Will you be posting photos of the whole assembly?

Here's what I used on Wed. afternoon for a last minute matinee. Used the "new" Tom mounts, based from the floor.
Sorry can't reveal my method yet.
