    Default New Kit

Hi all! New to the forum so figured I'd show off my baby's. First time with a maple kit and it's very nice. Going from cheap luan to this quite the treat. Sounds so nice. Hardware quality is top notch considering it's probably the midrange of pearl kits. The finish is definitely one of my favorites in the Masters line.

There's nothing mid-range about the Masters line! It's top end for sure. It's just not as customized as the Reference or Masterworks series.

Gorgeous MCX brother. I had the #406 Bronze Glass and loved it.

    Welcome!
My MCX kit is the same color, and was also my first maple kit. Snagged it before Pearl switched away from die cast hoops. They are true workhorse kits, and I hope you enjoy them for years to come!

Nothing mid range about an MCX. They are Pearl Masters drums all the way. Enjoy.

Thanks guys. It took a few years for me to put this kit together. I don't bring it anywhere so it stays at home. I've bought and sold several sets over the past few years to work my way up to this set. Same thing with the cymbals. Started with B8 so upgraded one at a time. I'll be hanging onto these for a while now. They sound amazing. Right now I'm using my Pork Pie Big Black snare with it. That snare is quite exceptional for the money. I hope some day to come across a matching snare to have as well so we'll see what happens.

I may set the 10 up as well some time but to be honest, I prefer the 1 up 1 down setup. I tend to swap out the 10 and 12 depending on what I'm playing.

With a 4 year old and a 6 week old here, finding time is not always easy to play. I often find myself just sitting down and staring at them haha. Quite Purdy!
