Default Looking to identify my new Pearl Export

    Hi guys,

I'm brand new on this forum and I've been looking through a lot of posts to try and identify my Pearl Export.

I just bought it last week from a guy who's owned it for a while (I think more than 10 years).

Can you guys help me out on this? Thanks!

    2000-2002 ELX in Amber-Mist

Depending on actual year bought the shell makeup is different

late 2000-2001 had 6 ply Asian Mahogany shells while 2002 had 6 ply Poplar shells

Exterior looks like Poplar so I'd assume you have a 2002 ELX

That's great! Thanks for the info BadAstronaut!

I had a pretty good deal on it with a lot of cymbals and accessories (800$ CAD).

It's my first ever drum as I've been playing guitar for 20 years, but just started playing drums.

Any advice about my Pearl Eliminator Powershifter double bass pedal? The left pedal seems a bit off. I'm talking about having to press down slightly more on the left pedal than on the right one to hit the beater against the bass drum head.

    Thanks!
